Upperi Kappa

Upperi Kappa is a popular snack in Kerala, India. It’s made from kappa (tapioca) which is boiled and then seasoned with various spices. Tapioca nutrition helps people with diabetes mellitus lower their blood sugar levels. Also, because of its easy digestion and high fibre content. we source fresh tapioca directly from farmers, then process begins with thorough peeling and washing of the tapioca to remove any impurities. Once cleaned, the tapioca is sliced into thin, square or rectangular pieces. These slices undergo a unique burning process to achieve a distinctive texture and flavour. After burning, the pieces are dried in a specialized drier to remove all moisture, resulting in a crispy and shelf-stable product. Finally, the dried tapioca pieces are carefully packed to preserve their freshness and quality for our customers.
